Infrastructure Development & Resource Allocation
Atoll Harvest program focuses on building the necessary infrastructure and allocating resources to support sustainable livelihood activities. This phase is critical for providing the physical and logistical foundation required to implement and sustain the initiatives of the program. The aim of developing appropriate infrastructure is to enhance the efficiency, productivity, and sustainability of local food production systems. The infrastructure development will include the establishment of cold storage and processing units, the construction of aquaculture and mariculture facilities, setting up the facilities for seedbank and nurseries and developing the built environment needed for permaculture, agroforestry and regenerative farming initiatives. The aim is to address specific needs within the community, ensuring that all aspects of food production and resource management are adequately supported. By the end of this phase, the program aims to have robust infrastructure in place that will facilitate the successful implementation of sustainable food production and improve the overall resilience of the community’s food systems.
