Driving Micro Enterprises (LDP-4)

Noonu Atoll's plan aims to protect its heritage while fostering a sustainable economy. Central to this strategy is responsible tourism, immersing visitors in the Atoll's experience and ensuring sustainable practices. The community will shape the Atoll's future, with local talent celebrated and innovation welcomed. A unique brand identity will be created for Noonu Atoll, integrated into a calendar of events and festivals. Existing properties will be adapted for conferences and events, and accessibility will be improved. The cultural legacy will be preserved and restored, with support for local artisans and SMEs. Sustainable farming practices will be promoted, and an efficient inter-island cargo ferry system will strengthen the local economy. The goal is to transform Noonu Atoll into thriving and sustainable islands, where economic growth complements environmental conservation and community well-being.
