Atoll Loop (PC-005)

The Atoll Loop project is a multifaceted initiative designed to address the diverse needs of Noonu Atoll. By establishing a mobile municipal services unit, the project aims to enhance public works infrastructure across the atoll’s islands. To promote sustainability and create economic opportunities, the project will also focus on waste management through the establishment of recycling centers and the encouragement of upcycling businesses. A dedicated pest control service will be implemented to safeguard public health and protect the environment. To facilitate efficient transportation and trade within the atoll, the project will integrate a goods ferry service. This service will not only transport waste to recycling centers and move the municipal services unit between islands but will also serve as a reliable courier service for delivering goods to residents and businesses. Additionally, Atoll Loop will provide assistance to local island councils in identifying and implementing low-cost, locally-sourced solutions and innovations. This support will empower island communities to address their specific needs and challenges in a sustainable and cost-effective manner. By fostering local innovation and self-sufficiency, the project aims to strengthen the resilience and self-reliance of Noonu Atoll's islands.
