Resilient Communities (LDP-5)

Noonu Atoll aims to improve island life by focusing on healthcare, social services, safety, and environmental well-being. It proposes establishing committees on education, health, and social cohesion, with technology enhancing communication and medical services access. Social well-being and safety will be addressed through an inclusion framework for local council planning, island-level drug rehabilitation programs, atoll-level fire safety services, and an eco-friendly pest control service. Disaster preparedness and environmental well-being are prioritized, with measures to safeguard clean drinking water, address environmental hazards, and promote healthy living practices. Improved access and communication are facilitated through a "Healthcare Lifeline Vessel" and an online doctor appointment system. The goal is to create a prosperous, healthy future for island communities by fostering collaboration, improving healthcare and social services access, enhancing safety and disaster preparedness, and promoting a sustainable environment.
