Seeking a Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO)

Are you a sustainability champion with a vision for a greener future? Noonu Atoll Local Authority Company Ltd. is searching for a dedicated Chief Sustainability Officer to lead our company towards a more sustainable path.

In this critical role, you'll:

• Shape Our Future: Implement our sustainability vision, ensuring sustainable practices are integrated into every aspect of our operations.

• Lead with Purpose: Provide strategic direction and leadership to departments, fostering a culture of sustainability.

• Drive Innovation: Oversee key sustainability initiatives and projects, ensuring they align with our strategic goals and contribute to positive environmental impact.

• Measure & Report: Track and report sustainability performance, keeping leadership informed and driving accountability.

• Secure a Sustainable Future: Develop and implement strategies to secure sustainable finance, supporting our sustainability journey.

• Protect Our Natural Resources: Oversee land-use planning, water resource management, and the promotion of renewable energy.

• Nurture Our Environment: Lead conservation efforts, including species inventory, tree planting, and establishing seed banks.

• Build a Sustainable Framework: Develop sustainability guidelines, SOPs, and reporting systems aligned with global sustainability standards.

• Innovate for Sustainability: Secure funding for sustainability projects through innovative financing mechanisms.

• Foster Collaboration: Ensure departments align with sustainability goals, empowering leaders and fostering a unified approach.

• Build Strong Relationships: Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

• Mitigate Risks: Identify and address sustainability risks, ensuring a smooth transition to sustainable practices.

• Manage with Precision: Manage the sustainability budget and lead process improvement initiatives.

• Champion Technology: Contribute to the company's technology strategy, leveraging innovation for sustainability.

Are you the ideal candidate?

• You hold an advanced degree in Environmental Management, Sustainability, or a related field.

• You have extensive experience in sustainability leadership and project execution.

• You have a proven track record of managing sustainability projects and securing sustainable finance.

• You have experience working with community-based organizations, government agencies, or international organizations.

• You excel in problem-solving, leadership, and communication, inspiring others with your vision.

• You possess knowledge in sustainability reporting, sustainable development, and environmental management.

Remuneration:

• Remuneration based on experience, qualifications, and company policy.
