We are pleased to announce the commencement of the lobby area construction at Noonu Atoll Convention House, located at Noonu Atoll Council Secretariat Office in Manadhoo. This project represents a significant step toward enhancing the functionality and aesthetics of the Convention House, creating a welcoming environment for visitors and establishing a central hub for interaction and orientation.

The new lobby will serve as a modern, multi-functional space designed to improve the overall guest experience. A key feature of this development is a dedicated local market area, which will provide opportunities for local businesses and artisans to showcase their products and services. This initiative aims to promote community engagement and stimulate economic growth within the region.

By integrating a local market space, the development will foster cultural exchange and support small businesses, contributing to the economic vitality of the community. The design will prioritise both functionality and aesthetics, ensuring the space is visually appealing, accessible, and safe for all visitors.

The scope of work includes the demolition of existing boundary walls and the construction of new walls, roofing, and flooring. Additional facilities such as restrooms, paved walkways, and planter boxes will also be installed to enhance convenience and comfort. Every aspect of the design has been carefully planned to create a space that leaves a lasting impression on visitors.

The project, valued at MVR 951,509, has been awarded to Noonu Supply under Contract No. NALAC/W-C/2025/002. Construction will officially begin on 4th September 2025 and is scheduled for completion within 105 calendar days. The work will be carried out in compliance with the highest quality and safety standards, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations at Noonu Atoll Council.

This development is more than just an infrastructure upgrade—it represents a commitment to creating a vibrant and inclusive community space. By incorporating a local market area, the project will support small businesses and artisans, generating new opportunities for economic growth and cultural engagement.
