We are pleased to announce that the contract for the Supply, Delivery, and Commissioning of Waste Management Equipment (Reference: NAC-CON-2025-013) has been officially awarded on the 18th of November 2025 to FEHIFAN Pvt Ltd for a total contract value of MVR 2,100,000.00.

This marks a major milestone in strengthening Noonu Atoll’s waste management capacity and accelerating our efforts toward a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable environment across all 13 inhabited islands.

Following a transparent and competitive bidding process under the re-tendered Equipment Supply for Organic Waste Management Project (NAC-BID-2025-012), FEHIFAN Pvt Ltd emerged as the highest-ranked bidder with a technically compliant proposal, the most competitive pricing, a 60-day delivery period, and an attractive 90-day credit period.

The awarded contract covers the complete lot of specialised waste management equipment designed to enhance collection, processing, and disposal operations while significantly reducing environmental impact. The scope includes full supply, transportation, customs clearance, delivery to the central hub in Manadhoo, on-site installation and commissioning, comprehensive operator training, and the provision of detailed user and maintenance manuals in both Dhivehi and English.

Under the terms of the contract, all equipment will be delivered within 45 days from the date of award — an improvement on the original bid timeline — enabling the swift rollout of upgraded waste management operations at the Atoll Waste Management Centre and across island-level facilities.

This initiative directly complements the ongoing Organic Waste Management Project utilising the Takakura home composting method and supports broader national objectives for waste reduction, resource recovery, and the transition to a circular economy in the Maldives.

We extend our sincere appreciation to all bidders who participated in the tender process, as well as to our project consultants and technical evaluation team for ensuring a fair, thorough, and professional selection process.

We look forward to working closely with FEHIFAN Pvt Ltd, island councils, waste management staff, and the community to successfully implement this vital project and thank all stakeholders for their continued support and commitment to environmental stewardship.
