We are proud to announce that 18 students from Noonu Atoll are participating in the 37th National Quran Competition in Malé. As part of our commitment to Quranic education, the Noonu Atoll Council is providing support to all participating students.

To support our students in this important journey, we at the Noonu Atoll Council have arranged financial assistance of MVR 3,000 for each student travelling to Malé for the competition. This support reflects our commitment to promoting Quranic education and ensuring that our students can participate without financial burden.

We will also be hosting a special get-together for the students and their parents. This gathering will be an opportunity to celebrate their achievements and encourage them as they prepare for the national stage. Details of the venue, date, and time will be announced soon.

To ensure smooth coordination, Council Officer Mariyam Saeeda has been appointed as the focal point, and Education Council Chairman Mohamed Adnan will oversee all matters related to the competition and student welfare.

We proudly organise the Noonu Atoll Quran Festival annually, as part of our ongoing commitment to promoting Quranic education and spiritual development among youth across the atoll.

The 2025 edition of the festival was held from August 21 to 23 in Noonu Velidhoo, bringing together 181 students from all schools in the atoll. Participants competed in two main categories: Naazira/Tilawah (Recitation) and Hifdh (Memorisation). The event, conducted under the Noonu Atoll Quran Festival Regulations 2025, aimed to foster a deep love for the Holy Quran, promote Tajweed and memorisation, and prepare a new generation of Qaris and Huffaz capable of representing the Maldives internationally.

Originally known as the Atoll Quran Competition, the event was rebranded in 2024 to reflect its broader educational and cultural significance. All participants received certificates of recognition, while top performers were awarded trophies, certificates, and prizes. Overall champions in each category also received cash awards.

As we continue to foster a love for the Holy Quran and prepare a new generation of Qaris and Huffaz, we believe that supporting our students in national competitions is a vital step forward. We wish all our participants the very best and look forward to seeing them shine.
